I first got the chance to watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online just a few days or was that a couple of weeks ago? Anyhow, I just came across it while browsing stuff online. It seemed interesting enough but not as visually stimulating as the Journey to the Middle of the Earth. Maybe it is the thought that it is already a sequel and therefore by definition a lot less exciting as the first one. However, when I saw the trailer in the big screen, I had second thoughts about the movie. I readily searched it again and got to watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online for the second time. If you are planning to watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online, you should set your mind that it is a science fiction action adventure film. This being said, you should not expect a lot of factual information out of it. Also, when you watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online, you would notice that only Sean’s character was reprised.

People who are going to watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online would however, see that instead of Brendan Fraser, Dwayne Johnson took the lead role. When I decided to watch Journey 2: The Mysterious Island trailer online, I was awed by the possible story line.

It was mentioned that the film was made under Walden Media and Newline Cinema. It is to be distributed by Warner Bros. In 2009, the two studios bought the script of Richard Outten to serve as their basis for this movie. it was said that in the script, the characters found an island which is supposedly the inspiration of the literary classics such as Treasure Island, Mysterious Island and Gulliver’s Travels. The movie was announced to be released on February 10, 2012 as early as May 2010.

Even though Brendan Fraser and Anita Briem were not able to reprise their roles in this second instalment, it is comforting to know that we would still see the familiar face of Josh Hutcherson. We would remember that in the first movie, Brendan Fraser dragged Josh into his journey to the middle of the Earth. This is after Brendan got visited by his long lost brother in his dreams. They found out that the brother been dead long. But he left certain stuff for his son who is Josh. In the end of the first movie, it was shown that Brendan, Josh and their tour guide Anita was released out of the center of the Earth by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. They were however able to get a few precious stones out from the middle of the earth.

This new movie will star Josh Hutcherson once again. With him is Dwayne Johnson who played the role of Hank Parsons, Josh’s step dad, Michael Caine as Alexander Anderson, Josh’s granddad, Vanessa Hudgens as Kailai, Josh’s love interest, Luis Guzman as Gabato, Kailai’s father and Kristin Davis as Elizabeth Anderson, Josh’s mother.
